Do your best
Be on your best behaviour
You bring the best out in me
What’s Your LANGUAGE OF LEADERSHIP?
What words do you hear yourself use?
Today, you’re reflecting on the letter – B.
B is for BEHAVIOUR, BRAND, BELONGING AND BEST & BONDING.
There is no right or wrong in the selection of the words; the goal is to BROADEN your thinking about your practice of your leadership language.
Behaviour
What you do & say encapsulates your drive, beliefs, intent & purpose. This shows up in your BEHAVIOUR.
People look to you & seek consistency in your BEHAVIOUR … your leadership BEHAVIOUR.
BRAND
Curating your LEADERSHIP BRAND is a strategy if your reputation is important.
Being confident enables you to openly express your BRAND.
Talk yourself up & ensure you deliver. Are you Friday Night Drinks Worthy?
BEST
Bring your BEST Self
You bring the BEST out in me
Do your BEST
I hear & I’m sure you hear versions of these phrases. I prefer, ‘find the people who help you be your BEST’ – they are the companions you want for life.
BONDING
Leaders can help (or hinder) BONDING in a team. A team with good BONDING has trust and is more likely to problem solve together rather than struggle on as individuals. Thanks Fiona Tibballs for your contribution
BELONGING
Michelle O’bama has influenced the inclusion of BELONGING to this list. BELONGING is a human need. If you enhance the sense of being accepted as part of a team in your workplace, you are a leEader. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.
What’s your ‘B’ or ‘C’ word which you bond with Leadership?
Thanks for the many ‘A’ words which I’ve included in the official list.
