Receiving Feedback
So, here are some useful points, thoughts, and ideas about Talk Like A Leader that I've received over the past few days:
- I purchased it to support you, Louise, I'm not a leader however when I started reading it, I realised how it related to me becoming a more effective parent.
- I love the bus exercise and now every day I decide what I'm doing and where my bus is going and who (of me) is the best driver for the journey.
- I'm stuck on the A words - I can't decide which word resonated for me the most and which one I wouldn't use. (I think this is positive!)
- I've already used three exercises with my team and it's really deepened their understanding of why they're considered leaders in our organization. They thought they had to be team leaders, be considered leaders.
And this incredible feedback received by Col Fink highlighting my model of Walk, Talk & Chalk has prompted a few conversations about how we tend to only focus on one style of communication and the need to more deliberate with all three.
