This week’s Five Easy Leadership Behaviours
Whilst working with three leaders this week, of varying levels of experience, these were five behaviours which resonated as easily implementable to solve problems or improve their relationships:
Preparation – capturing your ideas, framing your thoughts, and writing (or typing) puts you in a more confident space
Mentor or Coach – know what ‘hat’ you’re wearing and what your team needs from you - provide direct advice or a conversation to identify a better approach
Ask for help – the majority of people will help you, if you give them the opportunity
Delegate don’t abdicate – set boundaries and ensure you all know how you are available and how you’ll check-up and check in
Follow through and Follow up – deliver before the deadline (surprise people by doing what you said you would do) and check on expectations being met
What are your thoughts on the ease of adaption and importance of these leadership behaviours?
