If you’re an aspiring CEO, who’s grabbed your attention of late?
What presence have your felt & observed (or not) of the thousands of CEOs - in their dealings with the pandemic.
As an ad-hoc Airbnb host & customer, I’m impressed with Brian Chesky’s constant communications & actions.
And it was an excruciating wait for ME Bank’s Jamie McPhee’s delayed apology to customers regarding an abrupt policy change which impacted many.
Whether your organisation is a family business, a start-up, a public service department, not-for-profit or large entity, there is a boss aka the Chief Executive Officer.
There’s a specific appeal for those aspiring to the CEO role, whilst everyone else seeks out a CEO whose leadership is appealing.
These CEO expectations is exhaustive and many in the role have shared their adaptation of the role acronym:
· Chief Emotional Officer
· Chief Efficiency Officer
· Chief Effectiveness Officer, and I’ll add
· Chief Entertainment Officer
When budget permits, these roles can & are delegated, yet for their leadership appeal, we need to know that they can role model:
CHIEF EMOTIONAL OFFICER
Regulates the thermostat, creates the vibe, makes the invisible visible & connects peoples’ feelings to the future.
CHIEF EFFICIENCY OFFICER
Knows how to add the most value to relationships & the solution
CHIEF EFFECTIVENESS OFFICER
Is aware of all projects, processes & people & how they are connected to producing the intended solution.
CHIEF ENTERTAINMENT OFFICER
Builds trust in a shared & open manner to foster creativity & transformation
Join me this week as I delve further into these four roles and drop me a comment about what appeals to you … any why!
