This week, clients shared their lessons that have made leadership easier to practise.
Assume – as Oscar Wild proclaimed – ‘’don’t make an ass of you and me’’ – making stories up diminishes trust
Trade tools – continue to sharpen the tools that aid your leadership effectiveness; don’t let them get blunt (attributed to Stephen R. Covey)
Intersectionality – a concept to help understand if you’re causing oppression or discrimination by your language, behaviour, or bias
Don’t be right – Ok, not all the time! Allow others to be right and be open to being influenced by your team.
Check-in – not to check up but to be present to understand and hear what’s blocking progress.
What lesson did you receive this week?
