Learn To Trust - Make Leadership Predictable

Can you learn to TRUST?

Are there skills associated with TRUST

Or, is it a consequence of character & skills demonstrated?

I’m curious about the science of TRUST

The involvement of our brains in TRUST

Conversational Intelligence by the late Judith E Glaser simplifies neuroscience and her TRUST acronym helps activate all five brains to grow our TRUST.

If your goal is to have others anticipate your Leadership, to be known as consistent or even predictable, then the TRUST will follow.

To boost TRUST rather than have people avoid conversations with you, consider these actions:

TRANSPARENCY – take the lead, quell the Amygdala, talk to fears & threats, be open and move to establish common aligned objectives (Reptilian Brain)

RELATIONSHIPS – connect, extend the olive branch, listen, be non-judgemental, connect the Heart Brain which activates all five brains (yes, five brains!)

UNDERSTANDING – be inclusive, talk openly, reframe conversation opportunities, show support & empathy to activate the Limbic brain which needs emotions

SHARED SUCCESS – lower your need to be right, create a vision together, share the space for mutual success and celebration (Neocortex brain)

TEST ASSUMPTIONS – gain perspective to problem solve, discover gaps & close gaps together, and have the willingness to start over if distrust emerges (Prefrontal Cortex -Executive Brain)

How will you experiment with TRUST today?

Join in the TRUST conversation this Friday (30/10) at Noon AEST
