FRIDAY FUN
Recently, while meeting with an organisation, I was briefed to create a workshop that was engaging, practical and in particular fun.
They came to the right person!
During the workshop, creating the organisation’s values, it became evident that they valued FUN and its now embedded in the description of one of their three values.
FUN IS FRIDAY’S theme.
In Melbourne, FUN is on the agenda. After 19 months, restrictions are lifting.
The anticipation will explode into the last day of the working week.
However, let’s not look to having FUN at particular events or on specific days; we’ve learnt that when people are having fun, they’re more productive and open to learning.
Fun has a positive impact on the individual, the team and the organisation’s culture.
In the state of FLOW, the late Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi said if people are involved in an activity that creates the dynamic of being challenged to use their abilities, this made them happy, and they found that nothing else mattered.
Creating fun will add to the wellbeing of your workplace.
What FUN will you have today?
How might you purposely create FLOW focusing on the dynamics of your workplace?
What are you doing to have a positive impact on your team?
Go lightly today and let people be happy by having FUN.
If all else fails, here a list of a few FUN activities you can try with your colleagues.
