Sunday Scones - The Supportive Strength

Sunday Scones

Sunday is synonymous with family and friends.

Returning to home base to visit, eat together, creating the opportunity to hear who may need help and encouragement.

In my home, it’s about scones.

I bake a batch of scones every Sunday and it brings the family together at 3pm to converse … albeit for 20 minutes!

It signals the use of our emotional radar to hear who needs help and provides the space and pace to give encouragement.

What occurs in your workplace to demonstrate being SUPPORTIVE?

SUPPORTIVE is today’s STRENGTH.

SUPPORTIVE leaders work with their team to:

·       Reassure them to achieve the best they can

·       Access the right information

·       Help them feel good about themselves

·       Create energy to see the positives

·       Show appreciation for their efforts

·       Be aware of opportunities available

However, don’t give all your scones away today. It’s easy to become self-sacrificing and be left with half a scone and no jam and cream (or is it cream and jam)!

If you need help to turn on your radar, I’m here to support you uncover and using your STRENGTHS to easily lead your team.
