It feels like every Australian knows that we’re into the semi-finals, and arranging where to view the match.

Our attention will be on these elite athletes who have relentlessly practised their skills, drills, and team techniques.

And, as we sit in the grandstand or shout from our sofas, we’ll be witnessing a dynamic team.

⚽RULES – rules created by the team enabling quick accountability and proactive communication.

⚽RITUALS – unique norms that identify, engage, and connect to operate under conditions of pressure.

⚽ROUTINE – predictable consistent behaviours generating trust and normalizing risk and failure.

⚽ROLES – heightened understanding of members’ roles and cross-pollination of knowledge and skill.

⚽RHYTHM – collective mood felt and expressed … even by those external to the team.
