Fairytale Failure
I’ve been doodling for 7 years.
Carrying around a great book idea.
And finally, I made it official, I’m writing a children’s book.
I’ve given myself a timeframe and a list of actions.
And I’m proud to say, task #1 is completed – I read, How to write a Children’s Book by Katie Davis & Jan Fields, The Institute of Children’s Literature USA.
And whilst I could be disappointed, my first Fairytale Failure has been welcomed.
Almost everything I’ve done has fallen into the ‘don’t do’ list!
📔Who would have thought to write the last line first?
📔That a 6-year-old will tell you the best names to use.
📔And leave the adults out of the book!
I’m sure there will be many twists and turns on this unfamiliar road yet I’m sticking with it.
🧚What’s your fairytale goal?
p.s. Plan out the journey, include failures in the story, and stick to it.
