My Life Is A Pencil

My life is a pencil!

Being a pen or Sharpie is too permanent.

Feeling the angst associated with the postponements and cancellation of events, meetings, and gigs it’s only exacerbated when set in permanent ink.

Being a pencil reduces the symptoms of FOMP … Fear Of Making Plans.

You can lightly pencil in dates to gain a surge of anticipation and easily erase them when necessary.

So, rather than using your sharpie or your favourite pen, chose wisely, select a pencil.

You’ll immediately feel liberated.

On any one day, I use a trusty HB, a colourful Derwent or progress to my Lamy with an eraser at the top.

I’m feeling more focused, in particular when I use a freshly sharpened pointy pencil!

Imagine when change isn’t imposed on you and you decide to change your mind; you can erase it very quickly … and pencil it into another page of your planner.

How does life as a pencil feel like for you?
