Being Deliberate
It’s about being intently present when you’re being a leader.
And it’s also about:
🔑Curating your behaviour through your actions
🔑Courageously sharing and supporting your written words
🔑Confidently speaking about what needs to be said.
Being deliberate ensures that what is read and being said is seen in action.
Many will say that some people are deliberately rude, unforgiving, and racist.
And rarely will we hear people positively comment and describe how remarkable a leader delivers their leadership.
Not only do we need to deliberately catch leaders doing the right thing the right way, but we need to deliberately broadcast how what they do inspires and influences the right action.
Being deliberate checklist examples:
· Choose words that inspire and influence
· Do what you are saying and asking of others
· Share examples of your ‘doing what you expect’
· Write about what you see and how it makes you feel
· Stop and reflect and determine if you’ve been deliberate enough
· Ask others to explain to you what you’ve asked them to do (to ensure you’ve been clear and concise)
WHAT WOULD YOU ADD TO THE CHECKLIST?
Leadership is about being deliberately courageous and confident.
Not doing, not saying, and not writing equates to a lack of leadership.
How will you be deliberate today?
