Leadership is an Experiment - The Leadership Life Cycle

EXPERIMENTING with your leadership is a vulnerable activity

Moving from what you know to not knowing prevents making the slightest change

Yet when you sense you’re not connecting & relationship aren’t syncing, it’s time to act

Before you EXPERIMENT, consider

🔑the results you’re seeking

🔑your purpose or goal

🔑how you might measure it

🔑involving others

🔑how you’ll communicate what you’ll be doing differently

These are experiments I’ve shared this week with clients:

🚩Make each meeting shorter by 5 minutes

🚩Respond to emails with a phone call

🚩Rotate the role of the meeting facilitator

🚩Create short training videos

🚩Give people immediate feedback

🚩Ask for feedback at the end of the 1:1 session

I see LEADERSHIP as one big EXPERIMENT

People are unique

What works for one, doesn’t work for the next

This is tricky if you’re a perfectionist, lack confidence or failure isn’t in your vernacular.

However, if LEADERSHIP is expected of you or it’s your career goal, consider one small exercise you could explore today which would make a difference for one person.

What will you EXPERIMENT with today?

EXPERIMENT with your LEADERSHIP by bringing The Leadership Life Cycle Masterclass to your organization.
