THE LANGUAGE OF LEADERSHIP - W

Today I explore words commencing with W. Words which I find myself using in my work as a mentor, coach, facilitator and when I am consulting with clients.

What are your W words?

Have you ever wondered if you could have your time over again, what you would do? And how you might approach those relationships which need resuscitating. What might you do differently?

Have you ever wondered where you would really like to work and who you would like to work with and support?

And, have you ever wondered why you keep getting the same results if life?

When will you seek out support to change your current outcomes? I wonder!

Wondering warms our mind and heart, it creates curiosity to explore thoughts, ideas, approaches and goals.

Why, What, When, Where and When help us open up conversations. And, I like to add in the which and the one ending in W … the how!

Cultivating questions, rather than thinking about what you want to say next, makes the conversation about the other person. Not about you. You already know you: quite well. This suite of questions help you boost your relationships and are your tools when you coach.

Increase your Self-awareness by using the Johari Window

However, like many, you don’t know about the special window in your home. The Johari Window. It’s an excellent exercise which helps you become more self-aware. Moving from knowing yourself quite well, to extremely well. Google the term and try out the exercise. Or, let me help you with that process. I enjoy mentoring people; it’s my choice of work. I share the wisdom which I’ve gathered through successes and failures during my lengthy career in corporate, not for profit and volunteer work.

We’ve been working through the alphabet and you can work through A-W on my website!
