Be Accountable and Believe
“It’s only 30 installments of 500 meters.”
With 15 km remaining of the 100km Oxfam walk, it was this statement by a member of our support crew that got me moving over Mt Little Joe in Warburton.
It became clearer. I calmed down. I brought myself back to the present mindful of how I sounded so I could influence the team to continue.
I knew I could do it. I’d done this climb in training. I could visualise the steps ahead of me. Although I hadn’t walked with 85km under my belt, in the freezing cold of the early morning with two massive foot blisters.
Conversion with conviction is what I experienced during that walk.
A change of focus in how I could visualise what I was about to do.
With an increase in belief, I was in a position to help my team prepare for conquering our mountain.
A mindful belief system will lead you in the right direction.
The more belief you have in yourself, accountability becomes your friend.
Being better is what drives you. Not being worse.
Believing in yourself leads to conviction and accountability influences conversion.
What have you achieved because you believed in yourself?
