What’s your 2023 Leadership Pledge?
I generally request a response to the question, ‘what’s your leadership pledge?’ when we’re at the end of a leadership program.
Plenty of time is provided to reflect, hold insightful discussions and receive feedback to carefully craft a thought out response.
🤞So, what is your pledge response?
🤞What will you do more of, be better at and how will you contribute more as a leader in 2023?
During my leadership programs, which are delivered in different shapes and forms, I raise the cautiousness that keeps us comfortable and the confidence that would help make more impact.
Additionally, I challenge the consideration to grow more courageousness to influence others and purposely be in a position to contribute more (with less time and effort).
🙏What ever you do right now (as you read these words), please make a commitment.
Make a commitment to reduce the public declaration ‘there is a lack of leadership’ that we hear and read in the media … every day.
Now, before you go, I will make a prediction. A BIG prediction.
You won’t do it. You won’t follow through on making the pledge.
You’ll get distracted, side-tracted and forget to pursue this request.
Yet, if you were to commit to being held accountable, by someone else, for 12 months, then I’d be happy to be wrong.
And if you’re still reading, here’s another question: What’s the consequence of making a Leadership Pledge?
Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing information about my Leadership Intelligence Program that is about to open for registrations. I’m searching for the 10 people to work together for 12 months to be more effective leaders in 2023.
