Here's some useful information about Louise Thomson

2017 is Louise's 11th year in her private practice which involves working with people to become better people! In particular, better team members and brilliant leaders .... or at least leaders who people want to follow, work together and achieve worthwhile outcomes. 

Louise worked in the '80s, 90's and into the new millennium in the finance sector which was a very blokey world. She quickly made her presence felt by being a woman navigating the corporate ladder including spending time in Human Resources (working with a group of dynamic women).  Using her network and outstanding influencing skills, Louise managed to be selected as the first person to read the morning news on NAB's in-house national television program. She also managed to redesign her role to become a regular host of a service & sales coaching segment which she also wrote, managed and edited.

Her experience also included stints in Sales & Marketing, Learning & Education, Project Management with her final role being the Head of Operations for Credit Risk Management. Each role involved influencing many people and in many cases, getting them to do and be different to what they wanted. This experience equipped Louise with a unique set of skills and a truck load of stories! 

During this same period, Louise's arm was twisted by her manager's manager, to join a volunteer leadership development organization, Junior Chamber International which opened a whole new world for Louise's interest in people's potential. She travelled locally and globally in many roles: Trainer, President, World Vice President and International Adviser.  This added to her eclectic group of skills to help businesses solve people's relationship problems, team performance and shift mindsets and behaviours to enable them to be better people.

This year, Louise continues to mentor individuals and teams in their leadership pursuits, she designs & delivers practical leadership programs to achieve relationships which inspire others, minimise workplace conflict and increase collaborations, innovation and happiness.

Louise's office is based in the Sandhurst Club, a golf club estate in the South East of Melbourne. She enjoys the variety of clients from all sectors and in the past twelve months, she's been working with individuals and businesses involved in: health, relocation, water, building and law enforcement. Industry and sector become irrelevant for Louise as her view is that people are people - all motivated differently and this isn't influenced by the work they do.

In addition, her life also encompasses kids, one husband, loads of great friends, not enough golf, delicious food, french champagne, reading, the odd run and one 100km walk. She's currently completing a self imposed reading challenge - 52 books (professional development) in 52 weeks.
